About Vampire Hunters 2 Remake:
Fun and pretty well designed. Even though at first glimpse it feels like a shallow game, in fact the systems are really deep – every single pickup/decision matters and will define the outcome of the game. Took me 30 hours total to 100% the game, great bang for the buck. This gem is really polished and feels like a complete game despite the “Early Access Game” category. Simple to pickup and (somewhat) hard to master. Only minor downside is that once you understand the game and its choices, every run feels incredibly easy. By popular demand, I now shift my focus towards a dark fantasy casual title I like to call, a veritable auto battler without having any chess elements to it. Vampire Survivors has been quite a sleeper hit, given its accessible price point, its premise and especially its predilection for short, action-packed gaming sessions tickling our heartfelt desires for instant gratification and self-fulfilment. The game has grown on me like a week-old beard and that was rather surprising since I rarely indulge into the casual spectrum of independent gaming on Steam. Nevermind playing anything on a mobile platform since I barely recognize most of those “entertainment apps” as being proper games worthy of my undivided attention. And yet here we are. Developed and published by poncle, Vampire Survivors is a stellar Steam debut with future ports for Android and iOS. There will be no escaping, though I welcome such titles as a much needed break from any other genre one might “default” towards prolonged sessions.
