Takenoko Pre-Installed:
There are almost no other people playing this online. Compared to ,for example, “Ticket to Ride”, that game has hundreds of people online and dozens of games up at once. I have come on several times here to play and have found no one. Fortunetly, I am able to play this within my friendship circle. If you are looking for a multiplayer board game with other people online, i suggest you pass on Takenoko. I enjoy this game as a tabletop boardgame and this online version has all the same beautiful looks and features. The music is cool and of course being able to play against bots is fun and convenient. I find playing 3 player ( me plus 2 bots) is the perfect length of game for a quick chilled 15 to 20 mins. The animation while cute slows the game considerably and 4 players takes a while as a result – although still faster than playing it IRL. The only slight irritation is the continuous confirming of the bots actions, these could just run through at a moderate pace – clicking to confirm each action and new bots turn is tedious. Overall I would recommend it – both on line and as a tabletop game.
