Overview Super Health Club:
Super Space Club is an arcade-style space shooting game about pilots defending the galaxy. Setting out to be the top-ranked club in the galaxy, the player controls a group of pilots known as the ‘Super Space Club.’ The player’s objective is to complete missions and defeat as many enemies as possible while ensuring to not deplete all of their ship’s energy, sending them back to their beginning base. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a light hearted tale of a small boy living with his father who is facing troubles after the death of his wife, and having the burden of taking care of a son while struggling with loss and alcoholism. In a small community, this is even more evident that the family is in trouble, yet we see things from the eyes of a child going through this. Escapism through heroes and dreaming that one has superpowers must surely be common to many children and is used as a wonderful mechanism in exploring this tale. The port doesn’t add new content unfortunately, albeit it is faithful. You can’t play as other cousins (characters) in single player mode as you could in the sequel PS2 game without mods. The camera still suffers but it is nothing unplayable. Aside from missed opportunities the one flaw of the port is that it boots in windowed mode, but you can change this. The story can be done in about 3 hours without repeating anything, but there is plenty of side content which can extend this to around 6 hours. There isn’t a ton of different stages but they differentiate between them enough to keep things always interesting. Trying to outdo your times and records creates incentive for competition as well.
