About Shinobi Life 2:
I didn’t touch this game until 2021 because I thought it was dead at launch. My concerns were quashed when the devs revealed the total number of accounts made had surpassed 6 million. I have had no problem finding matches and the hub world is always packed full of player avatars. The thing that really sold me on this game was the character customization, it’s surprisingly good. And lastly, the combat is very simple, but this is countered by hundreds of different justu combinations. Only gripe would be the lack of maps; They all become repetitive very fast. This isn’t a game I’d suggest getting at full price. It was worth the sale price my partner paid for it. Fun of course but a lot of the game seems incredibly unbalanced. Especially the matchmaking system that puts you up against people miles better than you while leaving you and your team of newbies to get crushed. Quite a bit of jank, there’s no real story from what I’ve seen. It’s just one long tutorial. The game doesn’t seem to have got much love in the development stage and they really like putting DLC up and random chance midnight scrolls on items. Still I can at least see why some people still like it and I may play it a bit more to see how it is but I can’t recommend it at all. Better updates, balancing and some actual proper matchmaking are what this game needs. Saying that if you’re going to grab it. Get it on sale.
