Overview Pang Adventures:
The Pang series is a beloved collection of arcade video games from the early 90s. Guide two brothers on a quest around the world to save humankind from a massive alien invasion! For the first time in the series, the Pang Brothers come face-to-face with the nefarious Alien Commanders! These villains didn’t come to Earth for the sightseeing…so get ready to blow them to smithereens! Use your wits and skills to overcome the attack balls pouring from the skies and rescue the world’s cities and landmarks from impending annihilation Adventures are best shared. The couch-coop feature is available in every game mode, allowing friends and family to team up and save the world. You can also show off your skills and challenge your worldwide friends to see who got the sharpest skills and can down the most balls. Having just finished the Pang Adventures World Tour, my enthusiasm for this title is floating in heaven. Pang Adventures is as good a shooter as any in the genre. PA isn’t a traditional bullet hell per se though certainly there are stages where the wrong approach could in fact induce a bullet hell facsimile. Pang is all about bursting balls. The concept on the surface may conjure images of more casual oriented games, however Pang is far from casual and is a serious shooter which in many instances requires a strategic approach.
Pang Adventures Pre-Installed:
Pang is a remake so I’m told of a game back yonder but has been seriously enhanced not only in graphics but in game-play. I’ve read to the extent that Pang is almost an entirely new game. Pang features unique weapons whose appearance are stage dependent. The 100 plus stages are well thought out, some of which are very challenging. The game though has a pure arcade feel and is immensely fun despite it’s occasional difficulty through over 100 stages of play. PA is a fully coop title both online and local and features multiples modes from the aforementioned World Tour to a Score Attack and new Panic Mode. A tremendous title and effort by DotEmu which deserves and has earned the credit and respect for their work. Highly Recommended! I played a similar game to Pang Adventures (PA), Bubble Struggle 2, probably around 2005, on the gaming site, BubbleBox. Turns out, Bubble Struggle was based on other Pang games I’ve never played before.
