About Islands: Bottom line: This is not a game. it’s a simple story with nice drawings that progresses too slowly while forcing you to go through the motions. I’ll start with the good: the drawings & animations are amazing! Together with the sound, it sets an interesting atmosphere. However, other than that there’s not much of a game. There’s a story, but it’s pretty flat, and it’s told on a level that resembles a children’s book – although this game is certainly not intended for children....

About Islands: After hours of play time, I am ready to give my review of the game. In it’s current state I cannot recommend it to anyone who is hoping to get far in wits and strategy. It will NEVER happen. This game is a wallet warrior game, and sadly so. You can go up against players on the same level and equal power, but find out in a match that they obviously spent real $$$ to get better troops and wipe your ass all over the field....

Game is unfair, that’s why: – in few places you just can’t dodge damage (because gateway height – enemy height is lower than character height) – enemies can hurt you at jumping on them, in some cases when enemy turn around and you will touch him (even from above) you just will get damage from it, I think enemies change their hitbox, thats why, but still, you just can’t know when you will get damage – moving platforms when they move down makes you non stop falling down, and you can’t jump from such platform, it’s bizarre if you need to wait until platform will go higher possible height and then platform just block your jump, so you will fall down into water...

About Mad City: So much wasted potential here. So this game could definitely be a very good game, but I just can’t recommend it because it’s pretty horrible overall. Don’t get me wrong, it’s laughably bad and if you can ignore all the game’s issues, it can be nice arcade fun. It just has too many problems. The first problem is that I was getting maybe 45 frames per second most of the time....
