About In Another Time:
My Time at Sandrock follows the “My Time” franchise (that’s what it is now!), in its own universe, place and time. The unique feature of this one has to do entirely on the locale, with a lack of trees and an abundance of junk. While the project is on-going, devs have kept the backers and the EA player-base updated with every change added on. The game is playable, however, I suggest not jumping to conclusions until the full game release! If you’re familiar with My time at Portia in terms of movement, combat and puzzle solving–this is the same! Look, explore, talk, mine, craft, grow, fight, and enjoy a slew of quality of life options not available in any other life-sim! (Portia players know how there’s no going back from some of the QoL unique to this game franchise!) One great addition to the game is of course the co-op option that’s now a part of the game engine. While I have not tested at the time of this review, I’m looking forward to figuring this out! features a cute, soft-toned cell shading style similar to Portia. This is a visual appeal that may or may not work for you. I personally love it. You are thrown into Sandrock as a builder, and build you shall. Instead of a rivalry between builders, we have a more joint effort–which is an absolutely refreshing take! The story is still in development and it shows. However, there’s a myriad of interesting characters already available to interact with in EA. As of this recent build, we’re also greeted with quality voice work and fixes.
