About Fire Breathing Simulator:
Classic JRPG, one of the forgotten gems of 2000. With a long and beautifully orchestrated soundtrack that draws inspirations from all cultures and blends them into a beautiful cornucopia of sounds. If you’re a fan of the series or of alternative-eastern inspired adventures I highly recommend this soundtrack. On a personal level, listening to this soundtrack brings back great memories of my childhood. This game (and thus the soundtrack) was my first experience with RPG ever and I will be eternally grateful I got to experience it. My foolish hope is that Capcom sees this and people continue to support this dormant franchise and that one day that leads to re-releases of the series on Steam and other current-generation platforms, or even (ideally) a new, honest-to-god entry in the series with serious production value. It’s been 20 years, I have aged but my feelings on this game and its soundtrack have not. It still brings forth feelings of childlike joy and wonder. Please Capcom, if you hear my plea, give this series another chance. I recently got back into Breath of Fire 4 and am playing through it. I wish it was on steam so I wasn’t having to dig out an old disc but hey it’s fine. BUT- the soundtrack. It’s really good. I know it gets flack because it’s not ..jazzy/funky like BoF3’s OST but it’s really, really good in my opinion. One of the best OSTs on PS1. Thankfully not only does it have every song in great quality, they even have the opening song without the dialog of Nina & Ryu talking over it. So, perfect PS rips of the songs and the opening song ‘fixed up. Great! 100% recommend.
