Changed this to a “recommend,” though i still wouldn’t “recommend” it. I just don’t appreciate Steam turning a lack of endorsement into a full on condemnation. If you were thinking of The Martian, Gravity, or Apollo 13… Put those out of your head, they couldn’t be farther from this in tone. This is not a survival simulator or a troubleshooting simulator. This is not decision driven. This is not a game about prioritizing your needs and making decisions about what you can and can’t do without. This is 30 minutes of panicked plate spinning. Every system in the ship will fail, and the challenge isn’t about prioritization or diagnostics or resource management but pure speed. I don’t know what I expected, but I was kinda disappointed. It’s clear that the game is done with love and attention, but unfortunately it’s a little more than a hectic clicker game with some good and some bad ideas. The tutorial is severely lacking, and I had to search forums multiple times during gameplay. Items often fall through textures. Voice acting is very amateur and quality of recordings is bad. There isn’t much to do in general, and the whole thing is about juggling the parts around a few devices, usually while panicking.Surprisingly, I enjoyed sandbox and making my own scenario more than preset 5-30 minutes sessions. Probably because the game becomes less hectic and panic inducing with more parts, not less. Hazards are a nice touch, but you kinda wish there were dozens of them, rather than just 5.
