About Bee Swarm Simulator:
this game is not at all what I expected it to be. on one hand, flying around as a bee is really fun. on the other, there is a lot to be desired when it comes to the pacing of it. I feel as if there is a lot of good in this game that is stifled by poor story implementation. the game is set up to be more “open world” than it is, and I would have loved to have seen a deeper and richer experience to be had outside of following simple story beats. in addition, the combat mechanics on easy mode are too easy and they are too confusing on hard. all that being said, the simple act of flying around, collecting pollen, and bothering humans is as fun as it gets. No, this is terrible. The combat is a complete mess and the gameplay of collecting flowers by rarity is stupidly tacked on. Speaking of tacked on, you can totally tell that they just wanted to make a little bee arcade game and then someone forced them to shoehorn in the whole “Save the Bees!” story elements. Yeah, I love bees, but it’s native and bumble bees that are dying out and this game isn’t about that. Also this game isn’t about saving the bees, it just yells at you occasionally about saving the bees, and excuse me, but I’m not running around tossing insecticides everywhere just for fun. Lecturing me does no good.
